After your stay in transitional housing here at the Y, you can get post-housing support to maintain your gains, keep you stable and break the isolation. There are three options available to you:
Located in the St Jean Baptiste district, we have a building with 18 units for single autonomous women. These units are at a cost of 25% of the income, which is why the women must be eligible for the Office municipal d’habitation de Québec (OMHQ). Priority is given to women who have benefited from our housing services. They can reside there for a maximum period of 5 years.
Supervised housing at La Canopé
We also have an agreement with the OMHQ in relation to the building La Canopé located in St-Roch where 12 units are reserved for the women of the YWCA Quebec. These include 10 family units and 2 units for single women. The cost of these units is 25% of the income and the women can reside there for a maximum of 5 years. Residents must have a monthly follow-up with a YWCA Quebec counsellor. Priority is given to women who have benefited from our housing services and they must be eligible for the Office municipal d’habitation de Québec (OMHQ)
