The YWCA Quebec Toastmasters Club is the only French-speaking club for women in the Toastmasters International group. Recognized worldwide, the non-profit organization Toastmasters has been training communicators and leaders throughout the world for over 100 years. It is active in 143 countries, with over 358,000 members.

FOR WHOM?

The club is for women in the Quebec City area who want to develop their leadership skills and optimize the impact of their communications.

HOW?

In a fun and collaborative environment, the objective of the YWCA Quebec Toastmasters Club is to provide its members with the best possible learning environment by offering them the opportunity to speak at each meeting. It is a hands-on training where each member evolves at his own pace, supported by an online educational program provided by Toastmasters International.
During weekly meetings, members have the opportunity to express themselves by taking on different roles (giving a toast, improvising, making comments to another person, giving a short speech, acting as master of ceremonies, etc.). It is this speaking out over the course of the meetings that develops the communication and leadership skills that are useful in many areas of life.

WHY?

WHERE?

Online, by videoconference using the Zoom application, and in person at the YWCA, in an alternating format every other week.


WHEN?

Every Wednesday, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.

HOW MUCH?

Before registering, anyone can attend two weekly meetings free of charge, with no obligation, and registration to the Club is possible at any time, all year round.

– $135 per session (September to end of January or early February to mid-June) or $250 for two sessions (the whole year)

– An additional $35 for your very first Toastmasters registration. If you have already been a member of another club, even one outside of Canada, and you already have the French manuals, you will not have to pay this fee

– $35 for YWCA Quebec membership, which is also required (valid for 1 year)

As the Club is accredited by the governments of Quebec and Canada as a recognized educational institution, its members are entitled to a tax credit for tuition fees.
